Municipal Election Job Application
Section 33(c) of the FOIP Act - Information on this form is collected for the sole use of the Town of St. Paul and is protected under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Job Summary:
- Assist with the set-up and closure of the voting station.
- Ensure electors provide the required identification to vote.
- Issue and process Form 13 (Elector Register).
- Complete all required documentation and worksheets.
- Direct voters and perform other duties as assigned by the Returning Officer or Presiding Deputy.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older and legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Be courteous and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous election experience is an asset.
Preference may be given for applicants who are available on all polling dates and times. Applicant must have their own transportation. The Town of St. Paul will not issue tax reporting documents such as a T4 slip, it is your responsibility to report any compensation received for income tax purposes.
Election workers must attend one of the mandatory training sessions held on October 4th or October 5th (*if you are unable to attend either of these sessions, please do not apply for the position).
