At full complement, the St. Paul Fire Department, who is led by our Fire Chief Trevor Kotowich, is comprised of 39 members who respond to emergencies within the Town and County of St. Paul. Along with in-house training, most members hold International certifications such as NFPA 1001 Firefighter, NFPA 1021 Fire Officer and NFPA 1041 Fire Service Instructor among others.

Annually, the Fire Department recruits new members in October, for a January start date.

St. Paul Fire Department Firefighter Application

Applicant Requirements:

  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Be in good health
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Preference will be given to those who live and work in town.

Applications will be accepted until November 28, 2025.
