Rotary International: Become A Member

March 5 2019
 ROTARY AT A GLANCE

Rotary brings together a global network of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. Rotary connects 1.2 million members from more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Their work impacts lives at both the local and international levels, from helping families in need in their own communities to working toward a polio-free world.
Impact starts with our members — people like you who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
At club meetings in communities across the globe, our people of action come together to strengthen their connections to friends and neighbors and their commitment to improving lives.
What are the benefits of starting a community Rotary Club?
Becoming a Rotary member connects you with a diverse group of people who share your drive to give back. Through regular meetings and events, you’ll:
• Discuss your community’s needs and develop creative ways to meet them
• Connect with other leaders who are changing the world
• Expand your leadership and professional skills
• Catch up with good friends and meet new ones

Clubs are the heart of Rotary and members work together to better their communities. For instance, the Rotary Club of Athabasca, has raised and re-invested more than $1 million dollars in community facilities and programs in the Athabasca area.
